What a Flower Greenhouse Has to Deliver:
A flower house has to do four things well. It has to hold temperature, light, humidity and carbon dioxide concentration where the crop wants them, because that is what makes a flower crop uniform and lifts the grade of the cut flowers and potted plants. It has to keep producing outside the normal season, so the grower can supply buyers through the year instead of in one short window. It has to protect the crop from wind and weather over a long service life. And it has to make room for species that will not grow in the local climate, so they can be introduced and acclimatised under cover. Our flower growing greenhouses are built to cover all four points, with the frame rated for 15-20 years of service and backed by a 10-year structural warranty.
Glass or Film: Choosing the Cover:
Both covers are in production here, and the choice is usually made on three points. Glass is the heavier cover: it is rigid, it keeps its clarity, it admits a high level of daylight and it holds heat well, which suits a permanent flower house that has to run for decades. Film is the lighter cover: it costs less to buy and to install, it is quick to ventilate and it can be replaced without touching the frame, which suits a house that will be extended or moved as the business grows. Growers who want the widest range of options often take the glass structure and specify the equipment first, then decide the cover last. You can look through our glass greenhouses and the film covered greenhouses side by side before you choose.
Flower Groups and Their Bands:
Flower crops are not hardy plants: they will not overwinter in cold temperate regions and they need a covered house to grow on. Grouped by the temperature they are held at, they fall into four bands:
Cold room flowers - held at 2 to 5 ℃. This band covers bamboo palm, cycads and other foliage plants.
Low greenhouse flowers - held at 5 to 8 ℃. These are semi hardy crops, for example Primula.
Temperature greenhouse flowers - held at 8 to 15 ℃. Mostly of subtropical origin, for example Calceolaria and fuchsias.
High temperature greenhouse flowers - held at 15 to 25 ℃. Tropical origin, for example Codiaeum.
Site and Orientation:
The site should have a low water table, enough clean water, convenient drainage and irrigation, and loose fertile soil with no pollution in it. The general requirement is a north to south run with the air vents on the east and west sides, and the reasons are practical:
(1). Humidity inside the house is easier to keep at the right level;
(2). The rows shade one another less, so the light lands evenly on the beds;
(3). Ventilation can be run in winter without pushing a large volume of cold north wind into the crop.
Where the crop needs water at a steady rate, irrigation systems for greenhouses can be specified at the same time as the structure, so the pipework is designed into the house rather than fitted around it afterwards.
Buying From the Manufacturer:
Ziyang Bozong Greenhouse Industry Co., Ltd is a manufacturer rather than a trading company: the houses are produced in our own plant of over 180,000 square meters, with 378 employees and more than 35 years of experience in the trade, and projects are delivered in over 32 countries. Layout drawings and an installation manual travel with the order, and our engineers can be sent abroad to supervise assembly when that is wanted. You can read more about our greenhouse manufacturing base, or send your requirement and local weather data to sales@cngreenhouses.com for a quotation.
Research on covered cropping is published by bodies such as the USDA, and commercial horticultural practice is reported by trade media such as HortWeek.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How large is your factory?
A: Our factory covers over 180,000 square meters with 378 employees, including 10 sales staff, 18 design engineers and 35 installation engineers. We have supplied growers and project contractors across Africa, South Asia, the Middle East and Latin America for many years.
Q: What material is the greenhouse frame made of?
A: The frame uses hot dip galvanized steel, which is rated for 15-20 years of service and backed by a 10-year structural warranty.
Q: What payment terms do you accept?
A: We accept T/T and L/C. The specific terms are confirmed in the contract before production starts.
Q: Can you design the house around my plot size and crop?
A: Yes. Every house is designed around the customer requirements and the local weather. We adjust the frame, the span and the covering to suit your site, your plot and the crop you plan to grow.
Q: Is one supplier enough for the whole project?
A: Yes. Each shipment contains the metal structures, the covering system and the installation accessories, and we also supply the supporting systems for cooling and heating, irrigation, fertilization, hydroponics, ventilation, lighting and automatic control, so the house and its equipment come from one supplier.
Note: If you're interested in the product, please submit your requirements and contacts and then we will contact you in two days. We promise that all your informations won't be leaked to anyone.
