Hot Dip Galvanized Pipe:

Hot dip galvanized products have been applied to many fields as the industry developed, and the reason is simple: hot galvanizing gives a long anticorrosion service life and adapts to a very wide range of environments, which is why it has always been a popular method of corrosion prevention. Corrosion Life in Service:

The figures below follow the corrosivity categories of ISO 9223 and BS EN ISO 14713-1, which classify a site by how fast zinc is consumed in that atmosphere. Coating life is read off that rate against the zinc thickness specified for the order, so the same tube gives different service figures in different places: around 13 years in heavy industrial air (C4), about 30 years in city conditions (C3), around 50 years on the coast (C5), and 50 years or more without repair in a clean suburban setting (C2). The practical way to hold the high end of that range is to specify the coating thickness or zinc mass per square metre in the order, because thickness, not the name of the process, decides which figure applies.ss testing as described below.
