- Features

Basic Information:
Type: multi-span gable roof glass greenhouse | Cover: 4 mm or 5 mm float glass, or 5 mm tempered glass | Light transmittance: above 90%
Frame: hot dip galvanized steel pipe | Gable spans: 8 m to 10.8 m | Total height: 4 m to 5.3 m | Wind and snow load: 0.35 kN/m2
Built for Long Runs:
This house is designed to be joined, not to stand alone. Bays bolt to each other along the length so the building can run as far as the site allows, and the guttered joint between two bays - the one that shows as a continuous line in the photo above - is what carries rainwater away from the run instead of dropping it into the next bay. That is the detail that separates a professional multi-span house from a set of small houses standing side by side: the roof water is collected and piped, the working width stays clear of drips, and the house can be extended later by adding bays rather than by building a second, separate structure. For a grower planning in phases, that matters more than the price of the first bay. What It Grows Best:
The house is in production use for cut flowers and pot plants, for vegetables, and for seedlings and young plants, and the layout changes with the crop. Flowers and pot plants are usually grown in benches or on a concrete floor with the crop lifted to working height; vegetables are grown on the ground in rows or in bags, with the irrigation laid along the row; seedlings are grown on mesh benches so the air moves under the trays as well as over them. Because glass passes more light than a film or PC sheet cover, the house is at its best where light is the limiting factor - a winter crop under glass will usually out-yield the same crop under a film house on the same footprint. You can compare the polycarbonate houses on the same span if heat retention matters more to your crop than peak light.Frame and Glass Cover:
The frame is hot dip galvanized steel pipe - columns, trusses and purlins - cut and drilled in our own factory before packing, so the house is bolted together on site rather than welded there. The glass is 4 mm or 5 mm float glass, or 5 mm tempered glass where a stronger pane is wanted, held in purpose-made aluminium profiles on the roof, the sides and the end walls. Roof and side wall vents open on a rack and pinion drive so a long run can be aired from a few control points, and the cover stays clear and UV stable for the long term rather than clouding or going slack the way a film cover does.Climate Equipment and Ordering:
Ventilation, external and internal shading, wet curtain and fan cooling, heating and greenhouse irrigation are all specified with the structure rather than added afterwards, because the frame is drilled and the pipe runs are planned once. Normal shipping time is 4 to 6 weeks after receipt of order, plus transit from the factory; 30% of the basic greenhouse price is charged on receipt of order and the balance before shipment. Tell us the span and length you need, the crop you plan to grow and your local conditions, and we will confirm the layout and a quotation. Look through the glass house range or the wider commercial greenhouse series first, read more about our greenhouse factory, call +86 191 5068 3942 or send an E-mail to sales@cngreenhouses.com.Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can the greenhouse be extended later?
A: Yes. The house is built from standard bays that bolt to each other along the length, so it can be extended by adding bays rather than by putting up a second structure. Tell us at the design stage that you plan to grow, and the gutter and drainage are sized for the final run.
Q: How is rainwater handled on a long run?
A: Each joint between two bays forms a gutter that collects the roof water and pipes it away. That is what keeps the working width clear of drips and separates a true multi-span house from small houses standing side by side.
Q: What crops is this house used for?
A: Cut flowers and pot plants, vegetables, and seedlings and young plants. Flowers and pot plants are normally grown on benches or on a concrete floor; vegetables on the ground in rows or bags; seedlings on mesh benches so air moves under the trays.
Q: Why choose glass rather than film or PC sheet?
A: Light. Glass passes more than 90% of daylight, which is the highest of the three coverings, and it stays clear for the long term. Where the crop is light-limited - a winter crop in particular - that is usually worth more than the lower first price of a film house.
Q: What span and height can be supplied?
A: Gable spans from 8 m to 10.8 m and a total structure height of 4 m to 5.3 m. The bay length and the overall run are then set from your site and the equipment you plan to fit.
Q: What is the delivery time and payment term?
A: Shipping is normally 4 to 6 weeks after receipt of order, plus transit from the factory. 30% of the basic greenhouse price is charged on receipt of order and the balance before shipment.
