Heat A Greenhouse During the Winter by Water
It is famous known that the plants grow well in a warmer environment. So it is important to keep warm weather during winter, which is a generally use of a greenhouse. Although a greenhouse has its own way to create heat inside greenhouse, sometimes it is necessary to provide more extra heat during the coldest months when the greenhouse couldn’t provide enough heat for plants. The natural gas and fuel oil could be very expensive to create the heat. What’s the choice? Water and wood are better. We all know that water is common and wood costs low.Use water to create heat and keep warm. Put 55 gallon water inside the greenhouse to capture sun’s heat. The heat accumulated during the day will be released at night when it is colder.
Wood could be burning in the center of the greenhouse and achieve the goal to store heat. But the roof must be open to dissipate the heat; or avoid the plastic covering form melting. Then use large circulation fans near the roof to circulate the warm air. Create thermal storage by stacking layers of bricks or large stones around the wood stove.
